Make the most of your trip to Western Visayas!!

Region six or known as Western Visayas. Composed of six provinces too, these are Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, IloIlo, Negros Occidental. Forty three of theregion’s land resources is devoted to agricultural purposes. Also, region sixis one of the country’s major exporter of prawn, tuna, and other fish products.Western Visayas has a lot to offer, like natural attractions like:

MALALISON BEACH in Antique. It has sparkling water and powdery white sand that you can cuddle with! This is an Instagram worthy. This beach is also great for snorkeling if you want to see the different aquatic animals then you can give it a try and I’m sure that you will not regret it. Malalison Beach is known for being a calm and quiet place so that you can take your relaxation and free your mind, body and soul.

JAWILI FALLS in Aklan. Aklan is know for having natural treasures just like this amazing god-given falls. This is known for having a grey sand and limestone features and produces cold fresh water from the falls.

MIAGAO CHURCH   in Iloilo which was built in 1797, is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list and is well-renowned for its Baroque architecture. During the mid 18th-century, it served as a defense tower against invaders. Limestone, egg, and adobe were used in the construction of the building, giving it a yellowish look. From the outside, you will certainly be astounded by the intricately carved sculptures of St. Christopher, baby Jesus, and the traditional life of the locals in the past. Inside, you will see the altar containing the crucifix, and the sculptures of Saint Joseph and the patron saint of Iloilo, Saint Thomas of Villanova. The two bell towers are unequal in size, which adds to the uniqueness of the church.

BORACAY in Aklan. This is the number one tourist attraction in the Philippines. Mostly foreigners are going in this beach because of it’s own fine white sand and clear water. Your visit in Western Visayas is not complete when you didn’t go to boracay.

also they have different festivals this are
Ati-Atihan in Aklan,
Binirayan in Antique
Sinadya sa Halaran in Capiz
Manggahan in Guimaras
Dinagyang in Iloilo
Masskara in Negros Occidental

I consider this region as home not only to the sing-song dialect but also home of the most social animals in the country. By that, I mean, the Ilonggo people are the most concerned about what other people will have to say at just about everything. Anything you want to do I’m sure that Western Visayas have it!!! Local and International tourists visits western visayas for their preserve culture and history that is worth to be known for. Western Visayas is a happy place for me because you can do what you want with no restrictions. I LOVE WESTERN VISAYAS AND I WILL SURELY COMEBACK HERE!!!!!
